Title: Chev alternator mounting

Gents

Has anyone used the mid mount alternator bracket for SMC (does it clear)
or am I better of with low mount and mini alternator
Any advice greatly appreciated

I just did one for a SBC with a hyundai alternator i had to machine a new pulley but it worked well ..

It was low mount.

it was a alloy 400 SBC in a EH .
It was 6mm S/S mirror finished cut on the waterjet.

Might be easier to get an alternator and make a template if you need it cut out e mail dimensions or send me a template i can cut it out of S/S or mild steel.

Crowbar,

I've done low-mount in an EK Wagon - no need to go mini-alternator. I got an 120Amp Bosch unit to fit around a 327.

Looks heaps smother engine bay with a low mount set up.
