Title: Peel and stick door rubbers
Post by: goldie on February 06, 2012, 01:41:37 PM
G'day all   I recently had to replace the rubber door seals on my work van. The old seals were peel and

stick on to the ducco. I bought the new manufacturers replacement seal , allso peel and stick.

The old ones peeled of clean so cleaned down with metho let it dry and  fitted the new which stuck like

the proverbial. Six weeks later we had ten days of rain and they fell of. What have I done wrong? or

have the old ones been sitting in a wharehouse for the last four years?

In large commercial vans there is an extra rubber seal at the top and down the side of the winscreen attached to the body.

It is L shaped and the rubber attached to the door closes under it and it deflects the water over the door
