Can it be done without issues?

You would think absaloutley no way in hell as my 13s only use to just clear the top of the  ball joint  and to drop it 2 inches downwards?

worth a look into tho.

I've heard it can and can't be done, I might just try it out and see  :-\

maybe try get NOS top ball joints as they dont have thr grease pot on top

I have done it with small wheel spacers (6mm or so) on my FB

I've got drop stubs 2'' in a sedan i'm doin,i fitted hr discs& the reason for this is your wheels sit further in under the guard.With a torana rim with a 3 1/2 rear b/space the top ball joint is no problem it's the lower wishbone,it scrapes slighty.Now,i havn't fitted the calipers,but that should not be an issue.Over the w/end i'm fitting LH TORANA disc's & cal's so i'll let you know how things go.Gaz! ;D :D ::) :P ::) ;) :-*

2" drop spindles are machined 2" higher then standard so will miss top ball joint by 2" more then standard, and be 2" closer at the bottom
lowering the car by 2"

i did it on my ek ute with 2inch lowered springs as well.I had to put wheel spacers on as wellas spacing out the nottom tie rod 6mm

they are more than a 2" drop aswell, as they are based on 14" H/KTGQ etc stubs so it's closer to a 3" drop on a 13" car, i've also had 13" wheels with drop stubs can't remember what i did there's also a car in my back yard with LH/LX brakes and 13" non torana wheels no issues no spacers but has hadfield front mount rack

It was the steering arm i spaeced out not the tie rod as this gave me clearance when i did this

I have also had stock HR rims on dropped spindle with a 6mm spacer used.
From memory, the steering rubbed on the tyre without.
I removed them due to concerns about the rim being higher than the lower a arm.
A flat tyre would see you dragging the front end down the road, not something I wanted to do with kids in the car.

Put the LH Torana disc's and cal on over the w/end,they still scrape on the inside of the rim at the lower wishbone,i'm hoping a 3'' backspace will solve the problem,i wanna run 13's as well,time to get the grinder out again,  Gaz ! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* 8) 8) 8)

I fitted a Tasman off my van onto my sedan today it;s a 6'' rim with 3 7/8 bakspace the inside is flat from tha lip towards the centre for 2 1/2'', 5mm from the caliper and 5mm from the lower wishbone.I'm usingTorana  disc's with PBR cast calipers,so yeah it can be done.

Stockies fit too, but I'll need to catch a flat on the front pretty quickly otherwise I'll lose a nipple  :o
