There was no letter on the plate or Chassis However all but the HQ are melbourne built cars...not sure what the link is but I would go with Melbourne Cheers Gary Title: Re: Another early FE in WA Post by: mcl1959 on January 08, 2012, 02:11:36 PM The body number is correct with no A after it - all the very early FE's were made in Adelaide and had no A after the body number. The missing M from the chassis number would be a mistake from the Melbourne plant though. An omission. :o

I searched out your record and found the details - your car doesn'y have a letter either but is actually an Adelaide assembled car - its not unusual for the Adelaide factory to leave off the A at the end of both the body number and the chassis number, although yours has the A after the body number.
