Title: tar top battery Post by: JohnBM on December 28, 2011, 07:43:54 PM I am looking for a 12 volt battery, Brand / Make name - that wouldn't look too much out of place in my FE. The orignal was referred to as a 'tar top' I believe. I'm aware of a company Globe Batteries in Padstow NSW that may have them. Has anyone purchased from there, and do they look the part. Any info greatly appreciated. I'm in W.A.

I think they still had one or two left. They have rebuilt a 6V tar top for me a number of times and always do a good job. Battery is posted dry. All you need to do is get it filled with acid.
