Title: Removing lower control arms HR front Post by: freddyc on December 14, 2011, 06:29:01 PM How do I remove the lower conrol arm shafts. The ones that go through the HR front end. Book says use tool #???, is there another way?

The easiest way is to grind 2 flats onto the shaft and undo with a shifter. If you want to take out the shaft and use it again then you will need to make a tool from an old bush. It will need a cap welded onto it so that you can tighten up the bush onto the shaft and then unscrew the shaft.
