Title: FE/FC vs FB/EK Sedan Rear Seats
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on December 04, 2011, 06:15:56 PM
Does anyone know for sure if FE/FC and FB/EK sedan rear seats are the same or different?

Just looking in the master parts catalogue,
the pad assembly, rear seat cushion has the same part number for FE,FC,FB,EK
so I would say they are the same except for the trim fabric.
But am always happy to be proved wrong (sorry stinky this part does not give you absolute proof)

Cheers Stewy   8)

I have owned both, I think the padding is a little fuller in the FB EK, but the the frame / springs the same

how do you go getting the rust off the frames and can you get the metal bits refabricated or do ya just ignore the shitty rusty bit cos ya don't see it?  ???

That depends on the customer and how much they are willing to pay, I generally don't worry about surface rust, brush off the flakey stuff and hit it with cold galv. If it's really bad I'll replace sections but it is a last resort as being spring wire it is hard to work with.
