Title: Left side vent window frame
Post by: amys on November 08, 2011, 09:09:25 PM
Hi,
My step-daughter used the latch on the passenger side vent window to close the door and the latch came off in her hand. I believe I will need to replace the whole window frame, is that correct or can I just replace the latch?
Anyone happen to have a spare they can sell me of what I need to replace? I'm a bit disappointed as I have just had an immobilisor and alarm installed and now that the window can't be closed securely, Effie is back in the driveway and not on the road  :(

If the handle came off complete with the post from the frame (ie broken off flush with the frame) then you will have to fit a new frame unfortunately

Hey Amy
If it makes you feel better, this is a fairly common issue with the vent window.
Good luck with the repair.
Regards
Alex
