Title: Olbis
Post by: FB copcar on October 02, 2011, 08:12:21 PM
Hello all, I have just become a user on this site and I am in need of some help? I have recently come into posession of a grey motor accessory called an OBLIS. I think its something to do with the fuel system, well it looks like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Stinky, I might have to spend a few hours one night going over the info. Pity the pictures had been taken down.

Well,
I was getting a bit worried no one had heard of this mob, so I decided to enter it into "Google" & see what came up. Stuff me, if they don't still exist!!! They make a stack of different things now, but do still make fuel injection set ups. I have emailed them to see what info they can give me on the injection set up I found (For a Norman Supercharged Grey), so I will keep you informed & let you know there answer. They built injector set ups for all the Early cars. Mostly Greys & Reds!!
Regards,
Rob J

google is a great friend to us all most times

i hope this blast from the past works for you

G'day FB Copcar,
I remember Olbis in the 60's.
Yeah, they sold (maybe manufactured) lots of speed equipment, very expensive but top quality.
My experience with them was mainly in speedway greys.
I think it's the same firm that's now in Rocklea.
Last time I dealt with them was in the 80's & they were mainly selling heaps of auto electronic gear.
I bought a radar detector. (still have it!)
Most likely none of the above helps your cause, but at least now you know they have been around a long time.
Cheers,
Gaz.
