Title: RTA v Streeters

Hi has any one read the article RTA v Streeter in the October Street Machine (P14) about the new Vehicle Safety and Compliance Certification Scheme (VSCCS) ? What will this mean if you are putting a 253 into a FC ? A little confussed !

A whole lot of confusion i cannot get a straight answer out of the engineer for the wifes eh with a 304 let alone my fc with the rb26 something needs to be done against the RTA 

All i was told all veihcles will have to comply with the new law after 6 months whatever that is they  are they arent telling anyone

You'll have to be lucky to get any sense out of anyone. It's all still very much up in the air.

i don't know where they are but i've seen them, not the laws about lowering and raising but since then the new national code of practice is what they are suposedly adopting when they change to VSCCS if this even happens typical knumbskull RTA the system was supose to start on 30/9 but as the RTA weren't ready it's been put off till early to mid november but as yet apparently still have no engineers even engineers that have applied to the system have heard nothing
sorry to be the barer of bad news but apparently the new code of practice is worse for cars under 1100kg but i think 253 is still ok

I WISH THE HELL THEY WOULD JUST LEAVE US CAR PEOPLE ALONE >:( IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T TRY FIXING IT ;)
