Title: 1959 Sunliner caravan for sale Post by: RET on September 27, 2011, 07:11:39 PM 1959 Sunliner caravan for sale
We are reluctantly selling our 1959 Sunliner caravan which is in near perfect, original condition. We are confident it will sell well but think it really needs to travel in company with an FE/FC Holden for old times sake. She just hasn't seemed happy behind our 2004 farm Rodeo! The seats and table are the original material - they convert to a large single bed. There is a double bed with a comfortable mattress at the back end. The green lining and yellow laminex and painted cupboard are original. It contains the original stove (gas), together with its original instruction book. The icebox has been replaced with a fridge (12v, 240v & gas). The lighting is wired for both 240v and 12v Price reduced to $10,500. (30/10/2011) We live in the Bathurst/Oberon area of NSW and can be contacted on 02 6337 5737 or by email at franceswhite@activ8.net.au. The attached photos will give you a good idea of the van. ($2) Other information about the Sunliner The van has the following dimensions: - width 2100mm - length (excluding drawbar) 3900mm which is 13ft - length (including drawbar and the spare wheel) 5000mm - clearance height to the top of the hatch is 2400mm It is registered until 23 December 2011. The tyres and spare (mounted on the back with a cover) are the appropriate ones for the Sunliner and have about 80% tread. All aspects of the van are in excellent condition. There is plenty of storage space. The two opening windows on each side (totalling 4) and the window above the sink all have fly screens and provide good ventilation on a hot day. It also has a fly screened hatch in good working condition and the door has a separately opening fly screen section in it. The only minor work it needs is to touch up some of the edges of the paint work inside where there is a little bit of chipping. It has a Fiamma wind out awning. It has a piece which clips to the top of the van so water doesn't run down the side. The awning is attached with two simple brackets so a purist can easily take it off if they prefer 100% originality rather than additional amenity. I'll move it to the public for sale area in a couple of days.
