Title: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: FCV08 on September 12, 2011, 11:15:21 PM Can anyone let me know where I can get the windscreen washer tube to fit to my wiper mounts?
I have the jets just need these tubes. Thanks Craig D Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: FE 4 ME on September 13, 2011, 07:51:32 AM Hi Craig,
A quick and easy way to sort this problem out is to use clear fish tank air hose. It works perfect as i just checked and it's a snug, tight fit ( you just have to be careful as there's 2 type of sizes used...just take your wiper washer with you i guess ). It's cheap as chips and you can get it at variety stores, Pet Stores, BigW, Kmart or sneak some off your mates fish tank when he's not looking ::) but it will do the trick for you... im going to use it ;) hope it helps you out Craig "Have A Great Holden ( FE ) Day !!!" :):):) FE 4 ME Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: FCV08 on September 13, 2011, 08:21:21 AM Thanks for the prompt response.
I am actualy after the brass or copper tube the fits into the housing. Thanks Craig D Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: FE 4 ME on September 13, 2011, 08:28:24 AM ouch that would be a hard one to find.... maybe it might be best to source ones that have them or tap a small nipple into the housing and than connect the washer line to the nipple ????
it's just a thought... but it might just work...getting that tube on its own might be rare task FE 4 ME Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: Rusty EK on September 13, 2011, 12:40:20 PM Just have the same problem myself , was suggested to me to try a model shop for the tube .
Sent the wife off today to try it out , will let you know later how she went . Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: 57effie on September 13, 2011, 06:42:24 PM Try a place that specializes in water pumps, we have McCrackens in Qld. Plumbing supplies wholesalers should have it as well. The pressure switches use a small copper or plastic tube to operate the pressure switch, 3/16th or 1/4 inch. I bought a metre of copper a couple of months ago for $9. They'll have compression fittings to fit as well.

Go to the hobby shop ;) best send wife or girlfriend though , dont think I would of got out of there for only $3 , too many toys in there ;D Title: Re: Winscreen wiper assembly Post by: FE 4 ME on September 14, 2011, 11:09:04 AM Sounds like the best way to go...but it if all else fails the link below will be sure to help you out
