Title: Clutch shutter Post by: FCRB26 on August 24, 2011, 07:51:05 PM Has anyone had trouble with clutch shutter before ?
Im running stock as a rock set up except for a 3.36 centre stocko wheels. So im guessing springs have come from the clutch plate or are damaged .. The only other time i have come across this is by accidentally bending the pressure plate trying to jam the gearbox in,. But mine has only started doing it. Thoughts > ??? I would suggest looking at the following possible causes; * soft or broken engine or gearbox mounts * loose bellhousing bolts * cracked bellhousing * cracked or broken gearbox crossmember * sticking clutch slave or master cylinders * and as said before oil or other debris on the flywheel Hope this helps, cheers Wayne Title: Re: Clutch shutter Post by: wilburwilde on August 24, 2011, 10:20:08 PM When i did my clutch i removed the flywheel to be machined. In the back of the block there is a welch plug, mine was rusted through, so possibly coolant, but you would notice the level constantly dropping.

or it uses a little water could be that but its not dripping i will start with the obvious and take the rubber out of the base of the lowering block and then i will work my way forward. Starter motor sticks a bit so might kill two birds with one stone. |
