Title: hz calipers

on hj,x,z girlock calipers the slide pins are different,1 has a anti rattle rubber one hasnt,which one should be the upper pin ???

I don't think it really matters which one is upper. When I recoed these I always put them back together the way they came apart - I must have done 50 pairs or so and I never really took any notice of which was upper and which was lower. I can't see it making much difference but a HZ manual will tell you the answer.

im pretty sure the anti rattle pin goes on the "trailing side pin"...

failing to do so wont be that harmful, but I had brake squeal until I fixed this.

thanks ed,i think i need to sleeve or replace my calipers as the fronts drag excessively and there is no residual valve fitted
