Title: Early ID Plate for Ken
Post by: fastjbav6 on July 01, 2011, 12:24:27 PM
Went to look at an FC ute for sale. No floor from front to rear and badly rusted 6 inches plus from the lower panels up including major structural rust. No motor and gear box. $350.
Below the id tag where the paint has faded you can see where they chalked "183" on the production line.

Body  FC 2106-73A
Trim   350-650
Paint  256-2102

 Chassis # 8-1151P

Thanks  Seb,

yes very early ute, would have been in the first handful of utes assembled in Perth I guess. I've been trying to figure out what the 183 might mean without luck - I have seen paint names in chalk below the ID plate, But hialeah green doesn't look like 183.
