Title: Seal Between Firewall and Steering Column Post by: KFH on June 25, 2011, 04:41:01 PM The above seal is not in the best shape and has a lip that goes over the opening of the firewall to hide the edge. I cannot find a reproduction seal. What do most people do to replace this seal? Just cut a flat one out of rubber and with a little sealant attach it to the firewall then screw the plates that go around the steering column into place and leave the raw edge of the opening visible from the engine compartment?

I took the old sample with me. They can get the one that goes around the steering column to the two half plates but not the one around the outer edge of the plates. Thet rang Rares and confirmed that they are not available. It llke like a flat rubber one has to be made.
