Title: Back up Lights Post by: KFH on June 17, 2011, 08:03:31 PM I am fitting back up lights (32w a side) to my resto using the orange section of the tail light assembly. I would also to use the orange section as the rear trafficator (32wa a side). I do not think you can get a 32w/32w dual lamp. This would make it easy. It looks I can use the section of the traffic indicator switch that normally switches the stop light out of circuit in the original setup so it can be used for indicator. Has anybody used this method? Comments would be appreciated.

If you don't mind modern technology, you could use diodes, you can put them in near the tail lights and wire them in to the reverse lights. I'd put the diodes in near the globes on the reverse lights circuit one on each side. That way you can use a single filament globe. Any competent auto elect you could you where to put them and supply diodes (or J car or equivalent) Cheers Mick Title: Re: Back up Lights Post by: KFH on June 17, 2011, 10:21:45 PM Thanks Mick. I had thought of that as well. I am a retired electronics tech and spent 50 years in the field so diodes and wiring are no problem.
