Title: hr front end proplems Post by: clivetitchener on April 29, 2011, 09:17:53 PM hi guys i have an fc ute i have installed an hr front end and have stayed with the old grey motor i used the fc out rigger and i have completely replaced the steering components with hr parts the problem is now the sump position is to low do i need to change the sump for some other model or do i alter the origanal all help would be greatly apprecated
Title: Re: hr front end proplems Post by: mcl1959 on April 30, 2011, 10:00:22 PM Using the FC outrigger was your mistake - use an FB EK or EJ outrigger. It will get the engine at the right height. The HR steering gear does just touch the grey sump on full lock - it's better to use the FC steering gear if you have the grey engine, other wise you need to modify the sump a little bit.
