Title: FC Radio Aerial Cable and speaker terminals Post by: stephen on April 13, 2011, 07:14:59 PM Hi .. I was lucky enough to pick up a FC Air Chief radio with most of the fittings at the Horsham Swap Meet last weekend, but need a couple of things to get it working .. is there anyone that can help me with the aerial cable that screws into the radio and then onto the base of the Aerial, ( if the two go together and are available, will purchase both) and I also need the two small male terminals that the speaker wires go into, they are then pushed into the side of the radio ,. one hole looks larger than the other .. any help would be appreciated .. Regards Stephen

If they are still around you would probably only find them in a parts bin for a real old skool audio repairer. You could also try a company called WES Components. Title: Re: FC Radio Aerial Cable and speaker terminals Post by: ekute on April 14, 2011, 08:31:28 PM Stephen, I had a quick search for the round 2 pin plugs and don't have a lot of good news.If they are the round type then you would be better off changing the socket to another type.I would be happy to do this for you but if you are in a small town or know a tv/audio repairer they would be able to do it for you.
Cheers Mark. Title: Re: FC Radio Aerial Cable and speaker terminals Post by: mcl1959 on April 14, 2011, 08:56:21 PM Try Nostalgic Wireless in Vic - they specialise in old radio parts
Ken Title: Re: FC Radio Aerial Cable and speaker terminals Post by: KFH on April 15, 2011, 07:10:43 AM It is the same plug that was used for the "A" battery, 1.5 volts, for the old valve portable radios. If Nostalgic cannot help you I could look through my stack of radio parts am possibly may be able to find one.
