Title: Personalised number plates
Post by: brett_f on April 01, 2011, 07:27:10 PM
Well it looks like Vic Roads wants its cake and eat it too.
Todays paper says they are going to take back all "offending" plates that by the way was deemed legal at the time they sold them to us. These plates consist of anything to do with speed, sex, bad and anything else they want. So who is affected on this site? What if you bought one of these plates from ebay or wherever for a price and was waiting to put them on your dream car only to be told you have to hand them back in and most likely you only get back what they originally cost. Think this is going to open up a can of worms but what the heck lets go for it.

I don't know who paid for the advertisement, but my money is on it being an April Fools Day Joke.  The organisation (and the link to the website) doesn't exist.

It is aimed at people who have personalised plates.  Looks like they caught a couple of people with the gag.

 ;) :D

Update to last post - the website is working today- it's a marketing campaign...
