So this is my plan. A Torana rack mounted onto my HR front end, drop stubs with Commodore or Hoppers brakes. I'll be running 15" wheels with custom offset. Is there anything that I should be wary of? I have spoken with Rod from Rod's Racks, who says that there'll be no problems with the stubs working with the rack. I was thinking that there could be potential clearance issues with tie rod ends etc. Has anybody done something similar - and if so, what should I look out for? (like current Commodore) The rim may then hit the tie rod end or the grease nipple on top of the upper ball joint. If you went up to 16 inch rims then clearance issues will go away.

Deeper dished rims give other issues such as hitting the mudguards on full lock Ken |
