Can you do the lettering in a different order i.e. Wilsonia Guage OIL/GEN/AMP or as I am attempting for the LHS setup, ENG/BRAKE/H'BR. I am replacing the fuel guage with the three idiot lights (normally RHS) to match in to my V8 conversion. My fuel guage is an aftermarket one to suit a VN Commodore sender unit. Are you able to post a photo of your work? Thanks Craig D Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: Utemad on April 13, 2011, 04:06:04 PM Hi Craig,
I can do them in a different order if you wish, also different colours. May seem a dumb question but are these on the inside of the glass? Thanks Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: Utemad on April 13, 2011, 05:42:11 PM Yep, the hard part is getting them straight! ;)
Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: TTV6FC on April 15, 2011, 08:56:19 PM Not really even that hard if you mark them out on the front of the glass before you clean what's left of the old letters off the inside.Use a Stanley knife and a pair of tweezers to transfer them.Best not done after 10 or more beers though... :P

I'm doing mine at the moment, but I have about 10 sets of gauges and a couple of wilsonias too, and no 2 have the letters in the EXACT same place or the EXACT same size. Even looking through this thread there are differences, E&F sizes etc. 2 of mine don't even have the word fuel on them. Does anyone have info on the EXACT size and position? Pinky. Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: Utemad on June 07, 2012, 07:17:27 PM Hey Pinky,
I took the measurements from my original guages in my 80,000 mile ute. These were an exact match in every way. I guess there were a number of different templates used in the production line, if you prefer a different version to those in the photos above I can make you a custom set. Regards Brent Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: Stash on June 07, 2012, 07:21:27 PM Utemad.
The ones u sent me had slightly different spacings to the original. So I split the transfer. Must have had different templates in the day.. Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: black57 on June 08, 2012, 11:44:06 PM Thanks Brent,
But I'm making mine own. Just needed to know if there was an exact position recorder by GM somewhere. Pinky. Title: Re: guage lettering Post by: FireKraka on October 12, 2012, 12:33:48 PM Hey Brent do you still have any of the lettering available
