Post by: fe350chev on March 14, 2011, 07:14:51 PM
I couldnt get the number i thought i should have cos all crap on motor when in car so i thought id wait til its out.

The motor has a "brookland" sticker behind generator and looks green the actual motor.

B277179 is engine number in the blue car. has sticker "manufactured by Brooklands" and a little racing chequered flag sticker.

Must be a late EK motor???

Yes you are right - EK motor. Brooklands was a Melbourne company which rebuilt motors (among other things). A little bit extravagant claiming they manufactured the engine. Re-manufactured would be a more honest claim :)

Im looking through a lot of old online papers from the 50's and some of the claims are way out there for sure. Thanks for clarifying.
