Old English bangers, manufactured 1920 - 1933. A bit of info about them available here:  http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~alloyd/alvreg.htm

Like the polly in question, not my cup of tea :P

G'Day RET,
Sorry I meant what is the alvis rally refered to in the calendar, Seems it is being run between Batemans Bay and Canberra must be one of the best kept secrets as I have heard nothing in the bush capital

I am assuming it is the Alvis car run, any details?

The symbol at the bottom of the Alvis site page "The Master Of The Kings Highway", well the highway between Canberra and the B'Bay is the Kings Highway may be the link.
Thanks Ret
