Title: Car Club Public Liability Insurance-Info required
Post by: smclaren on March 07, 2003, 12:44:55 AM
Hi Guys
Steve from the QLD FB EK club here.
We are doing the shop around for 3rd Party Liability Insurance for the club. Rather than reinventing the wheel, thought that I would ask if our fellow Holden club members what they are doing in this dark, smokey, and increasingly expensive area. :'(
Can anyone suggest a good, cost effective company??
Thanks in advance.
Steve

Steve,

We are doing this at the moment too.  One of the suggestions we have that you might want to consider is joining the Street Machine Assocation.  I believe they have an umbrella scheme that costs $60 + $8 per member.

When we went round this last year we also got a price from Triton Insurance who are based in Qld.  We had a broker do some chasing around for us and they were the best he could find.  We didn't take it up because we scraped in with Shannons for another year after they relaxed their cut-off from March to May - our renewal was due in April.

cheers

Hi Steve

I have just sent off an enquiry for club public liability insurance. Haven't heard back yet, try Elizabeth on1800 356072 (toll free). They are in Adelaide & require details of active members, runs, meetings etc. Not too difficult but appear to be addressing the risk in a professional manner. The street Machine insurance cost is now up to $10 per member + initial payment.
