Title: Reproduction Mudflaps.
Post by: Champ58FC on February 10, 2011, 04:33:02 PM
Hi all,

A colleague can reproduce a set of front and rear mudflaps for me.
At this stage he has the mould for the front and rear rubbers, but is not able to have the brackets yet.
He has a contact who can manufacture these brackets also.

Any one interested in these at the moment??
He wants $200 for a set of fronts and rears.

Cheers.

Also just a thought so many modified earlly holdens why not try redo rear flaps for a bigger tyre 7 inch plus i would definatlly have a set of them.
with the nasco emblem and wide they would look cool.

I believe the rears might have them but I am not too sure...
I can get back to you on that.

I am waiting on some pictures from my colleague which will be tomorrow.
Stay tuned guys.

Waiting on some pics...

Hi guys,

Here are the pictures as promised my friend sent me a few days ago.
Have a look at the authentic look as they resemble the original Nasco. Personally, I think they look fantastic...

He has revised his price as he needs to cover overheads. The price is $225 which I think is fair as these mudflaps are very hard to come by let alone the crap condition from age and deterioration. You will get two fronts and two rears, no brackets yet. These are the brackets he is trying to manufacture so far. I believe the front can be attached by screws anyways. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Enjoy the Pictures, and let me know of what you think.

Cheers,

Han.

Hey Nick,

I knew you would like them. They are not cheaply made either ;) Great quality rubber was used, you can tell from the texture of it.
Done, I have you down for a set. Thank you for the opportunity to get them out there..

I have a set and have already installed the rears, and they really set it off completely. It's amazing how little additions like them can spruce up the whole car's look  8).....and you can't even tell they aren't the originals :o

Hi fellas,

I was asked from my colleague if you guys can leave a $50 deposit before he has to start molding the new sets of mudflaps.
Please call me to get bank details.
I have dealt with fchoon and other members on this site, so you can confirm my legitimacy, and honesty from them. I am also part of the Vic club so you don't have to worry with me skipping the country with $ 50 odd bucks :D lol  ;)

Cheers,

Han.

So is it 225 for the whole lot or 225 for the rubber and 175 for the brackets making 400 all up?

Title: Re: Reproduction Mudflaps.
Post by: Champ58FC on February 20, 2011, 10:32:46 AM
Hi fellas,

Thank you Pete for posting my request ;)
I am using a loaner laptop from a good mate ::)..not to worry, ill get my PC back up and running soon as my brother in law is in IT :D 8)

Yes, it is $225 for a set of two front and two rear mud flaps. The brackets which took some effort to manipulate and get the shape spot on are $170 for two fronts and two rears...A  REASONABLE PRICE AS THEY WERE VERY COSTLY TO GET THE JIGS AND STUFF SET UP.

This set for our cars will last for years to come because it is all made from quality materials, no short cuts here when it comes to our beloved cars  ;)

Best regards,

Han. 0413 56 18 55

Hi all,

Are you guys still keen on the mudflaps and brackets as my mate is starting to produce them and needs to confirm whether you guys are still keen or not. Otherwise, he will stop as that will cost him. Please let me know definitely or not. I had a definite response from Stephen by phone today with my banking details, thanks mate.

A deposit is fine at this stage as I said from my previous post. If I don't hear from people with a $50 deposit then I will assume you are not serious. Sorry, to be a nag but my mate will not produce them and hold them as dead stock which we should all understand too. Also, let me know by post or PM whether you want the mudflaps and the brackets combo.

Cheers,

Han.

Hi John,

The price are as follows: two front and two rear mudflaps = $225
two front brackets and two rear brackets = 175

Please let me know if you are still keen as I need to take serious offers and a small deposit for my colleague to start churning them out.

Best Regards,

Han.

Hi Han,

Just thought that I would let you know that there was a guy at the Ballarat swap meet selling repro Nasco mudflaps for early holden and Torana. I think he has been doing this for quite a while as he had a whole bunch with him....looked OK. His name is Travis Waters (email: travwaters at hotmail.com).

No idea how they compare with yours of course but thought that it would be useful for you to know..

Did this ever go ahead. I was looking for the rear mud deflector ( flaps) brackets for the FC.

They look reasonably simple, not like the front ones.
