Hi Wayne, I can highly recommend electroplating technologies in queanbeyan, just beside Canberra.
They have done work for me in the past and the quality is excellent, everything from bumpers to headlights and door handles.
Cost wise I'm not sure now with the price of copper at a record high but give them a call, he knows his cars so should be able to quote over the phone.

Fc special Sedan cost at one in adelaide is 4 or 5k.

That includes all chrome stuff rechromed and all stainless polished.

Diecast items can be challenging.

U can get cheaper but results can vary.

I have heard a lot of places either won't touch or don't like doing cast pieces.
When I handed my headlights and taillights over they were quite heavily pitted, and door handles were badly scratched but I cannot find any faults with what electroplating did whatsoever,  even my bumpers were dented and showing signs of rusting. But came back as good as new! Bumpers cost around $100 per section, but that was 8 years ago.

OUCH!!!

I work in the plumbing industry and we got word through the other week that copper has gone through the roof. It's a big jump though.
Good luck

Might even be seriously worth getting a quote, with the exchange rate being healthy and Nu Zelund may have different environmental laws regarding chroming, I know in NSW/ ACT  they are tough on these laws which also jacks prices up.
You never know till you ask, even the shipping wouldn't be a couple of grand.
