Title: Engine number

Pulled the motor out of my fe sedan and tryed to find some info on it but cant seem to match any thing up ,it has no letter in front of the number so i thought FX FJ ,this motor has 7 numbers it reads

H138

7408858
any help would be apreciated thanks

next to the distributor base there is a machined piece of casting - look there.

Look a bit higher up, on the flat piece below the side plate, next to where the distributor goes into the block, the number should be there

Thanks zulu found the plate and scrubed her down with a tooth brush and there it was  cheers

BLOK - If I'm not mistaken H138 indicates that this block casting was poured on August 13th 1958. H being the 8th letter of the alphabet refers to the 8th month, while 13 is the day in August it was poured and of course 8 is short for 1958.
