This is going to be very rough but I hope usefull

About $100 would buy the worst piece of rusted junk imaginable

A well worn, roughly complete but rusted in the usual places car would be about $1500-$3000

An original car which needs work ie paint or rust or both etc $2500-$5000
A good original car which just needs a tidy up $4000-$8000
Really nice original car in very good order $7000-$15000

Restored original car in good condition $8000-$16000
Restored original car in show condition $15000-$25000

Modified cars generally have a similar value to restored cars until you get to the more exotic cars when they can go way past $25000

Utes tend to be the most desirable followed by sedans wagons and vans. Dollar price will go up or down depending on desirability

Price also depends a lot on the quality of the work which has been done and on how desperate the seller is to move the vehicle. There are bargains to be had.

that was pretty easy :D nother thing seems to be the amount of dissposable money around, say when house values were up people seemed to be spending willy nilly but things seemed to have slowed now
i reckon ken's car seems a great buy, i also recently saw a red motor 5 speed FC sedan unreg need paint etc but suposedly drivable and rustfree for 3 grand and it didn't sell
