Print Page - For Sale: 1958 FC Special sedan

My FC Holden is now on the market, details are as follows:
-1958 FC special sedan (100% complete although not completely put back together).
- Car has not been driven since 1984. I purchased it from a mechanic in country Victoria who had intended to restore it but didn't get around to it. He did however manage to completely rebuild the Original grey motor before I purchased the vehicle and at the time reciepts of this were viewed. The motor has never been started since the rebuild but does turn over by hand, therefore I am very confident it will start problem free.
-Subsequently I intended to see this restoration to its end and use it as a daily driver, however this has been impeded due to not always living where the car was being stored.
-The body has had a full bare metal respray in DUPONT 2 pack in the original colours [Terracotta/Adobe Beige] in 2004. Subsequent to this, the vehicle has been covered up and garaged until yesterday.
-Seats need repairing and respringing.
- Chrome is ok although not redone, however some dents, pitting and spots of rust are present.
- Original number plates still on it.
- Inside and out, vehicle is 100% original (ie.no seatbelts or radio.)
- Door trims are cleaned and ok, although like the roof lining does have a used look about them.
- A brand new extensive Rares Spares rubber kit has been put in the vehicle and is well bedded in after 6 years of storage.

Overall I honestly believe that this car needs 2-3k to be spent on it before it is finished.... It is a regrettable shame that this car must go however I will be moving OS and it is unrealistic that it can come with me.
