What a waste. :'( Keith Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: FCRB26 on October 31, 2010, 11:29:37 AM Whats the go with the boot emblem on the late 59 on the back??

All the Holdens are obvious but I'd like to get my hands on the Puegot 203 in front of the sedan in the fourth picture and it looks like an Austin Devon ute in front of it, what looks like an Austin 16 and a Mazda 1000 and maybe a Customline ute and a Valiant in the fifth picture and an old kombi in the last picture. I'd love to spend some time wandering around that paddock. Looks like a bit of history. As for Scrappy's, weve got a new one in town and have got him educated. When he comes across something of interest he rings one of my mates. Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: FCRB26 on September 21, 2011, 08:39:36 PM I have mine educated as well thats how i got that last job lot but he also gets me honda motors any old moto bikes.

Post by: FC427 on September 24, 2011, 04:28:05 PM Not sure only got the cowl and guards so going off the cowl was open top of some description probablly tourer Hoon Shame it's not a complete Roadster they are one fine looking and very very rare car .....still cowl and fenders is a great start for a project .....FC427.....Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: 57effie on September 24, 2011, 07:02:04 PM If you look closely so does mine. wiper on the outside handle on the inside. just need a willing passenger. air con as well, tophalf or bottom half. Its complete except for the starter generator the tyres held airuntil about 6 months ago and it was a runner when I bought it about 2 years ago. I actually thought about putting a grey in it. It only has rear brakes tho and the front springs are half leaf fixed at one end so front brakes would be a problem. I dont want to let this go for anything other than restoration. Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: FCRB26 on September 24, 2011, 08:45:33 PM i love rods but some things should be left alone such a fine example i dont think it would be a great looking rod as well it would look better restored just my choice i guess.

Vauxhall Cresta ;) ACE 8) Cresta's I love them, if you aren't familiar with them google them up. Had a mate with one in the 70's running a worked 186, man that thing could go and looked really slick ;) Mick 8) Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: FCRB26 on October 12, 2011, 08:52:53 PM Sorry I didnt know poms made a car that ugly i thought they only made cars that barelly 2 people could get in.
Those tailights would look good in a custom. Title: Re: Scrappies.....love em or..... Post by: 57effie on October 12, 2011, 09:33:20 PM There used to be an fe or fc getting around brisbane with a set of those tail lights in it. Around the time of "Rock'n Roll George" for those who remember him. I vaguely remember holden motors going into all sorts of pommy cars, Humbers, Morris cambridges, vauxhall victors.

Post by: 57effie on October 13, 2011, 04:24:05 PM That looks like it. The fc I remember was a green similar to trevor_b 's. That car looks darker. also remember a bronze eh wagon with the same lights front and back. I reckon the xa falcon sedan lights would look good vertically on the back of a wagon.

(http://s3.postimage.org/47yguxtw/fc66custom.jpg) ($2) There was an FE wagon at the 3rd Nationals that also had Vauxhall taillights, but I can only find a front shot ATM. (http://s3.postimage.org/48x75878/3rd_Nats_009.jpg) ($2) Regards Alex |
