Post by: slim on January 24, 2003, 08:07:32 AM
I have come to a stage where I have accumalated quite a variety of early Model HOLDEN parts and require A master parts catalogue, I have an early one but it only covers FX FJ, and FE,...THE one Im looking to buy has FX,FJ, FE,FC , FB, EK,EJ, EH,  If you have one and are prepared to part with it contact Slim on 0402465768 or send me a pm, I will pay a fair price, but will not sell my kidneys to have to pay for it ;D

Slim,

The one you want - if you can get hold of it - is the "Nasco Master Parts Catalogue - The First 20 Years"

It covers 48-HR and so has all the bits that we take off the later model junk.  It's about 2" thick, and has heaps of detail.

Yes I have one.  No it's not for sale.  But they turn up regularly on Ebay.

cheers
RET

[ EDIT: before the flaming starts, the use of the word "junk" in there is a joke.  Everyone keep their hair on ;D ]

Slim,

How much for the phillipino fishermen? :-/

I was recently voted WWF (worlds worst fisherman) at a cricket club fishing day so I may have some use for them.

Already pleaded with the missus to let me buy the Monaro, not looking good at the moment, but I'll keep working on it. Get back to you about March 2009  ;)

Cheers,

Craig.

Dear Slim.

The catalog I have before me is No M32662 and covers models "48" &  '50" series, FJ, FE, FC and FB series.

Note that Holden make no mention of  " FX".

No it is not for sale, and I think that my brother might heve dificulty getting this one back!

The last one I saw for sale at a swap meet was for $60.00 . I examined it but it was not made of gold.
Good luck.
Daydreamer.

G'Day Daydreamer,
"FX" is the common reference for the "48" & "50" series holden, I don't think Slim visits anymore (Our Lost I Think)  he had a disagreement with another member.

Hey Slim, if you were willing to pay $100 for it and got it for $45, does that mean you'll give me $55 for being the first to tip you off about the auction?  ::)

No?  Oh well.  Every time you open that book, just think to yourself, "geez that RET's a top bloke, I'll have to look after him" !

Sorry to hear about your testicle.

cheers
