I was sent an email from the seller requesting I alert club members but when I went to ebay for a look it had already gone. Why do these people waste our time?

Still can't see how the seller benefits by pulling the auction, unless he's come to some sort of contra deal with the emailer. It stinks, though, and really subverts the whole Ebay system.
