          does anybody remember who was asking for interest in getting new linings in original colours,i put my hand up but didn't hear anything is it still a goer trim 350-633 light green i think thats the correct number thanks

Things must be progressing, they just took a big wad of money off me  :-\
The project is still a goer and I will be publicising when I have some firm delivery dates.
Final colours will most likely be Light Blue, Off-White, Cream and Light Green.
I am still after a sample of the Light Green too if anyone has anything to donate.

Is the light green an FE colour, cause I have the headliner out of my 56 atm and could send you a sample?

That would be great, especially if I can hold of some that has been protected ie under the window rubber or tucked in the sides.

As long as it's big enough to get a good idea of colour for a match, I would hazard a guess of at least 20mm sqare.

I'll be letting everyone know when they are all ready (gotta feed the kids  ;) )
I haven't seen any samples yet but they assure me they can do any colour and I have sent them excellent samples (thanks to various forum members) to work with apart from the light green.

I am actually sweating on a reply to my request for an update  :-\ as soon as I hear I will let the forum know.

Excuse my naivety but are these the FE swirly pattern or the FC star pattern? I'm chasing the creamy swirl pattern for my sedan.

FE and FC Swirly pattern, the star pattern is EK/FB of which a "close" copy is available already. Close meaning there is a star pattern on the vinyl that are all the same size, whereas the original star pattern consisted of smaller and larger stars.

I got my update too, they are working on it, no dates or prices yet.

That's good. Every time I search for roof lining for my FE I can only find FC and the sample is always FB/EK stars. I've never been able to find the swirl any where. Look forward to getting my hands on some.

Update for today, I called them direct this time.
From what I was told on the phone they are 2-3 weeks away from requiring confirm on the order colour amounts, then it's another week to produce them and then there's shipping.

At this stage I will be getting a roll each of Light Blue, Green and Off white.
Off White being the most popular from the Poll - http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,15998.0.html I may get two rolls.

There were quite a few votes (more than green) for the Cream colour, but I have yet to receive a sample, if anyone can help out with a swatch minimum 25mm square I would appreciate it.

I'll send you a piece, pm me your address & I'll send it off.

Stinky i have been away for a while and i was wondering if any of the Light Blue hood lining has come in yet, and if so can i order enough to do my car cheers mate.

Nothing at this stage, the timeline I have been given would mean I won't see any stock until the new year, at least.

Any news on the off white?

They sent me an email with an image of the sample they ran off, last contact there was a delay to production (it's only taken a couple of years to get this far  ::) ) so nothing at this stage.
Like I've said before, I have a lot of money and time invested already so I will be telling everyone about it the second it arrives on my doorstep  ;D

Hi Stinky, not to tic everyone off but when these roof linings come avail are there going to be extras made? as I am interest in a off white? for my FE Sedan. Due to heaps of more important ??? and health issues !!!! I had to put the FE on the back burner, I have finally started getting back to my baby, just fitted new fuel tank so interior is next. Thanks

I'm bringing in a roll of the material, so when it lands on my doorstep I'll let the forum know. My plan is to sell by the metre and as pre-made roof-linings.

Well I got a notification from UPS today when translated from German ??? it tells me that a 50+ pound package is on it's way to me!!!! YAY!!!!


Only problem is that it's been addressed to Lewiston, AT and not Lewiston AU  ::)

you are a patient man Stinky. apprentices used to get sent to go and ask for a "long weight", but this is crazy  ;)

Hmmmm, No Sh*t there are multiple errors, ever thought about checking the address before it leaves the country  ::)

Here's a little piece of the reply I got when I tried to explain the error, Yes they called me "Mrs"  ::)

and so it begins again, at least it looks like the right country this time and the email notification was in English, not German


of course for such well travelled rooflining vinyl, please expect to pay a high premium  :P

So does this mean you will see it next January!!!!!!!,it would be nice of them to give you a delivery date and at least some sort of sorry for the stuff up.

Glenn, we use to buy a lot of gear from the states, never had the trouble you are having. Could it be they are outsourcing as well, could explain the troubles.

Vinyl arrived today, got the email it had arrived on my way home  ;D
First thing I did was rip it open and............................................................................................... the bloody stuff is light blue!  >:(
plus I got dudded 1/2 yard on the length.

So anyway, once I work out my costs etc I'll have a price, some pics and some light blue FE/FC Rooflining material for sale. Depending on the response I get from the supplier I may or may not be going further with this project  ::)

Sorry to hear it's become such a saga. Still, it could be worse; you'd find red hoodlinings hard to move. At least blue is a reasonably popular colour.

maybe they could do an Amazon-style return:
You keep the wrong order, and they ship you the right colour.

I agree with Stash, he is the one who stuffed up so he should supply you with the correct roll of off white (because it's what I need!!). It would only be fair for all the stuff ups that have happened during this ordeal. Does this now mean we will not see any off white or are you going to give him another chance. It would be a shame to see all your hard work go down the drain.

I am getting them to run off some off-white, but as you can see they struggle with emails and have stated "white"  ::)

I thought it was ordered from the states, not some third world country or maybe he is a backwater hick!!
