Title: Just a Question for the Victorians Post by: Jockster on February 12, 2003, 12:27:51 PM 8)
Just a question for all you Victorian FE-FC enthusiasts. About 25 years ago there was a guy by the name of Alan Hale who was President of the Victorian Street Machine Association. He had a very nice Black FC Holden powered by a 350 Chev, which won top Australian Street Machine twice. I lost contact with him a few years back, does anyone know his whereabouts and what happened to the car? Cheers Jockster Title: Re: Just a Question for the Victorians Post by: RET on February 12, 2003, 11:21:14 PM According to CraigA's run report and photos from the Vic AHD, he was there with the FC. So he's still around.

Its good to see it is still around.
regards mike. Thanks for the info Craig, Alan's car still looks pretty good in the Photo's. Back in 1977 when I started up South East Street Machines in SA, Alan was extremely helpful in assisting with the initial setup and he brought the FC across to our first Show 'n Shine in that year. We are running our 25th Show ; n Shine in October this year and would love to have Alan's car back again, but I don't have any contact addresses or number for him. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Regards Jockster Title: Re: Just a Question for the Victorians Post by: FC-225 on March 06, 2003, 11:23:06 AM Quote :D Thanks for the info Craig, Alan's car still looks pretty good in the Photo's. Welcome to the board. Many here know your car, so it's nice to meet (kinda) you. I remember seeing your car at the 5th Street Machine Nats at Natex in ACT. Hmmm....might see about digging out that pic I took. Regards Alex Title: Re: Just a Question for the Victorians Post by: FC-225 on March 06, 2003, 12:38:45 PM Hi Alex,
The 5th Nationals, that was a while ago !! I have some pics somewhere from the 2nd Nationals in Griffith or Narrandera I think ??? Memory is a worry ! It is good to see that there is a strong interest in FE-FC's these days. I was quite surprised by the ammount at the All Holden Day in January ;D Cheers AL. |
