I use a 12cfm with, and I've done half a dozen cars with it and it does the job. It doesn't run out of puff, it just needs to pump alot harder to maintain flow. As Mark says higher flow is better however, if you are not going to use it that frequently you may want to also consider the motor load rating. The reason I use a 12 is that any higher and you most likely need to go to a 15A rated circuit. I couldn't do this at the time of purchase so I stuck with the 10A rated motor which I can use at any household powerpoint. Cheers Ed |
