Title: Rear springs bolt
Post by: Not Happy Jan on May 29, 2010, 02:06:44 PM
Hi All
Is the nut and bolt that goes through the middle of the leaf springs available from rares???
I got one off and the bolt is pretty well worn and the other the nut is just turning on the bolt :P
I picked up a new set of leaf spring inserts the other day but didn't see any bolt ???
Thanks Nick

Yep they are available  its turning as there is like a big screwdriver slot on the inside easiest way if you are replacing is cut the nut off and hit it through with a pin punch.

Thanks Boys.
Yes that's right ...I'm after the one that goes through the centre of the leafsprings.
the bolt sits proud of the top of the spring and sits in the hole in the middle of the rubbers for the spring pads and the nut end  fits into the other spring pad??
I'll try my local trailer manufacturer 8)

It's not uncommon for these to be a little too long on the head & or the thread, just cut them to suit
