virtually take o ring out of top cut it 10 mm off the flange will have to rotae and add a bit of tube into it . Make sure that strainer is off the bottom a couple of mm. Pete Title: Re: RB30 sump from GQ patrol Post by: pedro on April 23, 2010, 07:17:11 AM Thanks Pete, already done ;), I did basically the same thing but i used the grey sump that I'd already modified and welded it to the RB30 flange, on an angle this time though ::), then I fitted the baffle plate, I had to weld the pickup with the mig as it's all i have but I filled it with water after and left it to sit and there's no seepage, just got to make a support bracket for it now as it's so long, did you put a bracket on yours, if yes where did you mount it i might have to drill and tap a bolt hole as there doesn't seem to be any mounting points.

should not need one unless your running at willobank or QLD raceway. I flogged the crap out of mine 13 banjo diff centres later motor was still good. And it had over 400 thousand KS on it out of a VL. |
