Title: Gearstick Knob Colours Post by: slim on February 05, 2003, 09:07:46 AM The knob on the end of the gearstick in a FE/FC Is Black but the piece at the very end, does it come in varying colours or just Silver. Does anybody have a different colour , other than silver? May seem like a silly question , but curiousity has gotten the better of me. ???

RET FJ Special had a different gear knob to 48-FJ Standard and EK hydramatic gear knob was different to FB-EK manual. These were a problem with FE's and FC's right from the start and it would not surprise that an enterprising person may come up with a replacement end such as the white one in Craig's car, I have even seen one with a Shilling piece in the end !

And I've always wanted a proper black knob as well........ Looks like someone has changed mine. Maybe as Ken says they have just stuck the white end onto the original knob. I've just purchased a really good black with silver cap one from Slim's FE FC Hospital so that should bring me back in line. Cheers, Craig.
