Post by: jasonr70002 on March 31, 2010, 09:36:22 PM
Hey all just wondering if anyone has a rear rack conversion on a hr front end and if someone does can you tell me what mods are needed for the sump on a red 6 eg placement and measurements of cut out section.

Cheers Jason

If you use an EH sump no modification is needed the oilfilter adapter of a Starfire 4 is required to give clearance for the steering shaft .....FC427.....

I have an LC-LJ sump which is the same except it is flat all the way from the front to the hump and doesn't have the step down. Are the oil adaptors hard to source.

Easy to get the last one I bought from the wreckers cost $5 I took it of a Toyota as there were more Starfire 4's  [Holden 6 with 2 cylinders cut of]  fitted to them than Commodores it is a factory GMH part .....FC427......
