Title: fuel effiency Post by: Carla on July 04, 2000, 12:00:00 PM I want to know roughly how many kilometers/litre you can get from an FC holden. I know there a heaps and heaps of variables, but assuming it is a 6 cylinder, auto (will auto make a difference?) what is the fuel usage?
Thanks heaps Title: Re: fuel effiency Post by: Richard Thomas (Guest) on July 04, 2000, 12:00:00 PM Carla,
All FEs and FCs had three speed manual transmissions, so it's safer to presume that. The auto didn't apear until the EK model, so any FE or FC that is an auto is modified, which means there are way too many variables to contemplate a wet-finger-in-the-air mileage. In an original vehicle, 30mpg is pretty much considered normal - on a club run we held a few years back that had an economy race component, one guy with a grey hit 35mpg. FWIW 30mpg is equal to 7.85L/100km, according to my calculations. YMMV :-) Hope that helps, RET Title: Re: fuel effiency Post by: steve    on September 13, 2000, 01:00:00 PM i have standard 132 in my fc and get abouy 10 ks per litre
