You can also use VH44 as well - easier to find and cheaper to reco, however the VH24 is original NASCO equipment so would suit the restorer.

If you can find a VH24 it will cost you. I just looked at getting one changed over from the only guy who recoes them now, he is in Shepparton, and i was quoted $605 change over. If you just want parts to fix your old one, he won't sell them to you. He will only do change over. They said that they will do them for $385 if you have 4 or more to be done. I spoke to Terry at Hydraboost and he couldn't believe the price i was quoted, and was quite discusted. He sold all the equipment to recondition them to this guy in Shepparton, so he can't do a full reco any more, but he can get sleeving done. All of my parts were in good condition, all i need is to have the cylinder sleeved, so i think i will go down that path.
But, in the meen time i have got a change over VH44 from Hydraboost for $175 change over and fully recoed. I hope this can help you to make your decision.
 Cheers Scott

VH 24 is Alluminium bodied with VH 24 cast on to it, VH 44 is steel bodied, not sure wher the markings are on it
