what glue do you use to glue inner and outer door rubbers in with, contact adhesive????. Also do you glue the quarter vent rubber in or is it press fit into channel???

I've just done a few searches on this topic myself recently and I went with Loctite 406 - that's what the guys on here have recommended in the past.  I can tell you that I now agree with their recommendations! Gives you a little bit of time before you commit and you don't need much either.

A little tip - if you can't find it on the shelves at your local auto-related shop ask the staff of they have it.  Motor Traders / Coventry Fasteners (where I got it from) keep it in a fridge out the back!  :D

what about quarter vent seals do they get glued also, they seam to be a good fit into the vent channel

My advice is the same - don't use too much glue and avoid contact adhesive like the plague. The rubbers will generally sit in position exactly where needed and I use a small dab of superglue where needed to hold them in place.

If you only use small amount you will be able to easily remove the rubbers at a later stage if needed and re-use them if necessary.

The 1/4 vent rubber should just push into place.

loctite 406 comes in a 25 ml bottle it must be used spareingly???? otherwise won't go far

I try and use loctite 454 Gel for any super glue work.......doesn't run  ;)
