Hi all,

Does anybody know about the following product?

Sonic Injection are selling EFI manifolds to suit Holden 6 applications. I am seriously considering purchasing this setup to replace my triple Webers.

At $2,850 for the manifold only, plus $400 for trumpets and filters, $795 for ECU and $300 for injectors, it's quite a pricey exercise. Is it worth the money, and is the company reputable?

 Look great but to much $$$$$$  spend some cash on getting the Weber's tuned spot on .........FC427........

Just use a Vk inlet manifold and use aftermarket computer and VL injectors

I am a Huge fan of injection starts and runs sweet cold no coughing no farting
my mate was running many moons ago a really old haltech computer and just used the VK inlet manifold

so much difference
or just use the VK computer fuel tank is easy use a carter lift pump VL high pressure use a swirl pot  the only hard part is putting in a return line just use fuel hose does not have to be efi hose as its lower pressure on the return you could convert for under 500 bucks easy.
Bet it would be better on fuel and run smoother than webbers sure they are great but old technology.
Depends if its a every day car or a weekend cruiser i suppose.

I'm with Mark. My Weber's are no trouble and once set up right they are no problems. Cold start/drive-ability is excellent, power is good and sound is great.

Would fuel injection be better? Yes, of course, but is it worth the extra money over and above the Weber's?

Personally I don't think so but if you've got the cash to spend then party on.

I just put one of his thermostat housing spacers on my new engine and it had to be modified to fit. :-\ Hope the injection is better.

Bryant Engineering were also doing a EFI set up for the Holden 6 a few years ago also a guy by the name of Kit one of Jz mates I met at Willowbank  also had a EFI set up he had made all the patterns and made a few kits he also made all the patterns for a stroker crank and had a few cast for the Holden 6 think it made the 202 to a 232 ci I saw his EFI set up on his EH very cleaver guy ......FC427......

Initially, my interest in this setup peaked when I thought about reliability/maintenance/'set and forget' of injection over Webers. Plus, this injection setup looks pretty wild - I would choose a setup like this over a VK efi manifold to maintain the 'old school' look that I am aiming for.

That's the million dollar question, Mark...

I'm seriously considering it, but if there aren't any major performance gains over the Webers, I can't justify spending $4000. I will need to research the benefits more thoroughly.

I'd need to find a buyer for the Webers before I went through with it, of course...

For apperance use a triple SU or webber manifold run injectors up underneath might look like an old school mechanical injection might look a bit funny with a air cleaner on the tube and no carby.

It looks like I may be looking further into this set up as I have found a prospective buyer for the Webers - I am still deciding whether to go with mechanical injection of EFI.

In my opinion, EFI is the only option here (assuming that this vehicle is street driven)
Mechanical injection is really only for wide-open throttle applications
