Title: Lap Seat Belts
Post by: GOA350 on January 21, 2010, 12:52:59 PM
I am currently after some old style lap seat belts for my FC so that i can roadworthy it. If someone could help me it would be most appreciated.
Cheers Scott

Scott,

If you want to buy them new, try this website, Hemco, they will make the seatbelts for you, or if you have the old buckles that you wish to use, replace the webbing

Scott, I got my FC rego'd and RWC without seatbelts.  You don't have to have them fitted in VIC, I think it's before 1962 or around that time when they became compulsory.

I'm not advocating "no seatbelts" at all, I have since fitted some in my Ute (complied with all the requirements, but didn't need an engineering cert by fitting them myself).

Just if it's easier to get a RWC without them, you should be able to.

Thanks Guys
I have been told by a few people now, that i don't need them for a roadworthy, so i am not going to do them until later. I can now mark this off the list. This list is starting to get short now.
