Title: door skins??
Post by: smithy on January 28, 2003, 11:03:10 AM
i hope this does not sound too much like a stupid question but how much difference is there between the lower sections of a door skin ( below window line) from a FB/EK and a FC......
before you all fall off your chair in stitches ;D,
today my mate who is painting my FC, a avid admirer of FB & EK's, rested one of his rear sedan doors alongside mine from the FC and they look all too similar even down to the small buldge toward the C pillar.
has anyone else noticed or come accross this or had we both been breathing in too much paint fumes :P ::) :P ::):P ;D

Hey Smitty
Rear door skins are identical so its not the fumes ,A NOS rear door skin is advertised FE to EK.
The front skins as you probably noticed on an FC the concave near the top of the door runs along into the top of the guard and on an FB EK that same concave fades out toward the front of the door and allows the guard to become a lot more bulbous.
I have toyed with the idea of grafting a FC front onto my EK ute for a while now and have compared all to many times .
Cheers mate
