Title: Grey Motor and Gearbox Post by: earlyholdenfan on January 03, 2010, 05:12:45 PM Hi Guys, this might be of some use to a restoration of a late 58 - 59 Model FC looking for correct number grey motor block for their car. engine number is L516451 and date code of block manufacture is K248 (so I am assuming this is an October 1958 block?)
I have an almost complete grey motor and gearbox for sale. I have taken it out of my most current project (EK Wagon) as I already have a period correct block for that car, so this one is up for grabs. I was told the car had been shedded for around 12 - 15 years and the state of the rest of the car supports this. The engine winds over freely by hand but I have not connected everything to make it run as it is out of the car.
