Title: Petrol Flow Post by: red_devil on December 11, 2009, 08:28:27 PM Hi guys, have had the car parked for five years, so dropped the dirty fuel out of the tank. I disconnected the fuel line at the pump and blew the old fuel down the line back to the tank and out. For some reason we now cant get fuel to flow from the tank even after putting 40 ltr of fuel in, any ideas why no flow. Fitted new fuel pump, had car running with jerry can but not pumping fuel from tank, any ideas.

Remove the hose and check for leaks. Ken Title: Re: Petrol Flow Post by: red_devil on December 12, 2009, 08:28:15 AM Thanks Ken will explore and advise.

Title: Re: Petrol Flow Post by: red_devil on December 20, 2009, 08:42:25 AM good call, that would be a premium way to do it once and right.

Ken Title: Re: Petrol Flow Post by: FC427 on December 20, 2009, 06:15:38 PM good call, that would be a premium way to do it once and right. The Premium way would be using AN fittings with -6 braided stainless hose it lasts for many many many years .no problems getting a fitting for the fuel pump but would need a male -6 fitting silver soldered on the end of the fuel line ....Earl's ,Russel or Speedflow can supply all that is needed ...........FC427.......Regards Red_Devil Title: Re: Petrol Flow Post by: red_devil on December 21, 2009, 06:53:16 AM Great guys those are great solutions.
