Title: Rust

Hi All
This is a picture of my subframe drivers side where I'm trying to sort out the rust issue!
The spring is for the brake hose.
Is this section replaceable as a unit or do I have to replace the whole sub frame or get it cut out/cut it out myself etc etc.
The dilemma is is that I think I would have to drop the engine to get to that section properly. And if I do that then I don;t think that i could stop and then the whole car would have to be stripped and I would never make it to nationals. Not much chance at the moment anyway!
Its got another bad section of rust in the pillars on the front door hinges and bits here and there.

I'm just struggling for direction and any advice and or encouragement appreciated!
Nick

Nick Thats not rust just a couple of little patches ;D ;D .....Don't be to concerned by your rust issues they are not big problems and could easily be fixed with home made patch panels ........FC427.....

Nick,

Mark is right, just patch it and off you go...

If that's the extent of your rust issue, it's as good as "rust free".

Cheers

Ed

So tune up my welding and panel fabrications skills!
I know its not much when I see some of the basket cases that get to undergo a full transformation.
Thanks for the advice!
