the biggest Nats ever

Sounds like good progress is being made with registrations.  Are you able to give out numbers so far, and a breakdown of FE/FC, by model and state numbers?

We tried to calculate likely ACT entries at a recent committee meeting and reckon we could have a dozen or more cars coming, which would be great.

Cheers
David

School Holidays have started, so for the next six weeks or so you might have a couple of apprentices to help you work on that car.

When the holidays finish, so does your chance of entering the 13th FE-FC Holden Nationals ($2).

Don't leave it to the last minute: download the entry form ($2) and send it off.

Entries close 31 January, 2010.

Here are the stats as at 11 January:

... and here's a new one: how we're tracking against our target of 150 cars ...
We're at about the 100 mark.

There are about a dozen more that have been received in the last few days, so hopefully they include lots of FEs. Don't like the look of that 3rd graph...

Actually, after today, there are only 6 working days left before 31/1/10 as the entries close on a Sunday which means they really close on Friday 29/1/10 for posted entries.

Title: Re: NATS ENTRIES
Post by: NosFEratu on January 20, 2010, 08:35:45 PM
Actually Robin, as the Nationals Committee has communicated that the use of post is a means of accepting an offer of entry to the Nationals, then, any entry form physically posted on the 31st of January means that, in contract law under the postal rule, the acceptance of the offer of entry is complete as soon as the entry form has been dropped in the letter box regardless of what day of the week it is - sorry, I always like the old postal rule, couldn't help myself!  ;D

But yeah, you lot, get your fingers out and send off your entries toot sweet!  ;) :D

Don't forget, we live in an electronic age.
There are details of the bank account on the entry form, so in theory you could do an electronic transfer of funds with 1 minute to go before close of entries, and follow up with the paperwork via email or post. But why leave it to the last minute......simply download the form, fill it in and post it off...today!!

Alex

Based on entries received by late Tues 19th. (Which excludes one sent by Registered Mail that I have to go back to the Post Office during business hours to collect. I'd be just as happy if people didn't do that...)

Now I am sorted I better decide what I want in my goodies bag.

Today's mail had 22 more entries in it. Talk about leaving things to the last minute :-\

So our Target Graph looks like this:

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Once all the entries have been processed (towards the end of the week), we'll publish a complete breakdown of entrants by model, class, state etc.

Hey RET,

I'm curious:  no matter where the arrow indicator points, it points at Entry Target.  Is that your safe way of saying that no matter how many entries you get, that was the target?   ;)

Martin,

That's just the way Google Graphs work - no ulterior motive.

Entries are now closed, and I'm very pleased to be able to announce that we've exceeded even our most ambitious target. The count now is 153 vehicles!!!  ;D ;D ;D

In graphic form, that would be:

We expected at least 100, aimed to get 125 and hoped for 150.

Thank you everyone who has entered, and we look forward to seeing you in Orange soon.

And if you've entered a car that isn't on the road yet, what are you doing reading this? Back to the shed, NOW!

Groan - I'm about to start a post called "Orange - I might not make it" or something similar.  The motor/engine (don't go there) came out of my car on Sunday with PROBLEMS.  I've got to sort the pictures out - I'm trying to find some that aren't smudged from my constant flow of tears.   :'( :'( :'(

Tears, not cheers

David,

If it's a loner you want, I've got a motor in the shed busting to get a bit of a run. It's going into my ute when it's ready. It was a good goer when it came out of my son's sedan. I'm in Penrith. I'll PM my Phone no.

There is one entry from NT, but he's not bringing his car. As far as I know, he's flying down.

The games events at the Nats will be different to usual, and have a motor racing theme. We tried them out at our recent club run to see if they worked, and we think you'll find them a bit of fun.
